The Jeep Grand Cherokee WK is, essentially, last year’s version of this upscale SUV, which Jeep has carried over into 2022 even though it also introduced an all-new Grand Cherokee this year.
What’s New/Key Changes From Last Year
There are no changes between the Grand Cherokee WK and its 2021 predecessor.
Available Trims
Jeep offers the Grand Cherokee WK in Laredo, Altitude, Limited, and Limited X trim levels. All are powered by a 3.6L V6 engine, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and four-wheel drive. If you want a Grand Cherokee with V8 power, you have to move up to the new-generation model.
Standard Features
In Laredo trim, you get 18-inch wheels, a power tailgate, fog lights, passive keyless entry, and LED taillights. Inside, there’s six-speaker audio, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, navigation, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, dual-zone A/C, heated front seats, a power driver’s seat, a heated steering wheel, and a digital gauge display. Standard safety items include rear park assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rain-sensing wipers.
Altitude adds 20-inch wheels.
Limited gains a power front-passenger seat, and an auto-dimming driver’s side mirror.
Limited X brings HID headlights, and 20-inch wheels.
Key Options
You can add a sun & sound group to get upgraded audio, a nine-speaker stereo, and a sunroof. A premium lighting group brings HID headlights, LED daytime running lights, and LED fog lights. The “protech” package adds advanced brake assist, automatic high beams, forward collision mitigation, and lane departure warning, and lane keep assist.

Jeep’s fuel consumption estimates are 12.7/9.6 L/100 km (city/highway).
Competition
With the Grand Cherokee WK, Jeep competes with the Honda Passport, Ford Edge, Chevrolet Blazer, Nissan Murano, and Dodge Durango.
